Our Barber & Cosmetology Instructor Program offers the perfect blend of theoretical instruction and classroom teaching practice. The student instructor develops the skills and master the subjects necessary for our students licensure by following the school’s lesson plan and through testing.

Here at JGCBA, our Instructor Program is uniquely customized 4 U! Licensed Barbers and Cosmetologists, are trained in basic teaching skills, using education judgments with proper work ethics along with desirable attitudes to relay information to students. Unlike the traditional "Beauty Schools" it is designed to teach you the skills you’ll need to inspire you to explore your passion and creativity. The best part? Our program is more affordable than many schools, and we proudly offer a solid education at a reasonable cost.
PROGRAM COMPONENTS FOR
INSTRUCTORS-300 hours
We get our students ready to work as competent Instructors at state-licensed vocational, technical, or proprietary schools(as well as Beauty and Barber colleges.
Duration: Part-time (minimum of 12 hours per week)
School Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:15 PM
Transfer hours are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Once our students complete the program, they earn a Certificate of Completion and gain eligibility to take the State licensing exams. Those who wish to take the exams can apply through the Tennessee Cosmetology & Barber Board of Examiners and the PSI.
